"The Child to Become Mature" is the theme chosen for 1954-55 by the executive board for the Horace Mann PTA.

The first meeting was held Tuesday evening at 7:30 in the school auditorium, Mrs. H. Birdsong, presiding. Other officers elected are Mrs. C. Eaves, vice president; Mrs. R. Stevens, secretary and Mrs. C. Truitt, treasurer.

Introduction of the faculty by the principal, Mr. Thomas, was followed by presentation of the topic for the year:

"By Virtue Our Children Are Taught Loyalty and Faith In "The American Way of Life.""
