On School Budget
Judging from the heavy schedule of meetings set by the School Board of discussion of the 1962-63 capital and operating budgets this month, the fund requests will get a thorough going-over before they go to the County Council for final action.
No less than 13 special meetings on the budgets faced School Board members this month, in addition to two public hearings—on the capital budget January 17 and on the operating budget January 24.
Two initial meetings last week were to be followed by special meetings every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night through this month, with a couple of extra Saturday morning sessions, on January 20 and 27, thrown in for good measure.
