The Late New York City Election--The result of this election, which appears to give so much joy to our opponents, our readers will readily account for, on being referred to the manner in which it was carried on, in an article on our second page, copied from a New York paper. If a triumph under such disgraceful circumstances is any satisfaction to our opponents, they are welcome to it. It exhibits to our view one of those degrading illustrations of "the party" tactics of the present times, that there is much more honor in being beaten than to beat.
