Calexico Dogs Win At Palm Springs

Imperial Valley was well represented, both by spectators and dogs, at the first show of the Desert Kennel club at Palm Springs yesterday, with Calexico's prize winning Springer Spaniels doing more than well against opposition from as far away as Long Island, New York, and Seattle, Washington.

Elysian Emigrant made her first appearance before valley people since returning from New York four weeks ago, taking several high honors. This show completes her championship, so that she will now receive a championship certificate from the American Kennel club, New York. She is owned by Robert Elliott of Calexico.

Others of Elliott's dogs winning high honors at Palm Springs were Elysian Emerald, Elysian Blossom, Elysian Empress, Elysian Elf and Elysian Emperor. Bill Bennington's puppy, Imperial Duke, and H. Dickinson's puppy, Elysian Robert E. Lee, also won honors.
