Arthur B. Hutchinson Answered Charge Brought by Dr. Hendricks.
Scranton, Pa., Aug. 23.-Dr. C. S. Hendrick, of New York, yesterday failed to prove in Alderman Ruddy's court that Arthur Burton Hutchinson, of Boston, was guilty of intimacy with his wife, and Hutchinson was discharged.
Several detectives who shadowed the couple were put on the stand, and while the crowd which gathered at the hearing heard some sensational queries and answers, there was nothing upon which to hold Hutchinson. Hutchinson in his own defense said that his meeting with Mrs. Hendrick took place in the presence of three or four other persons.
Dr. Hendrick says that he will now prosecute Hutchinson in the courts of Vermont, where he is suing his wife for divorce.
Dr. Hendrick figured prominently in the Laura Bigger case.
