The superb ornaments furnished yesterday by Mr. Cox to adorn the Lord Mayor's table consisted of rich vases of flowers in jewellery, pairs of elephants, and other animals, supporting temples, and richly caparisoned, besides two cabinets in massy gold of exquisite workmanship, and are no part of the collection from the museum in Spring Gardens, as mentioned by mistake in an evening paper. The intention of Mr. Cox was a testimony of his gratitude to the Right Hon. the Lord Mayor, and Court of Aldermen, for granting him the use of Guildhall for the drawing his lottery.
