Full Text
From the Paris A-la-main, Jan. 4.
Among the several new Orders and Regulations that will be soon published, there is one whereby Physicians will be charged after the third Visit they make to any sick Person, to send Notice to the Parish Priest of the Condition such Patient is in. They may do so at the first or second Time of visiting, if they see Occasion, but must by no Means omit it after the third Visit. This may be called killing two Birds with one Stone, as it too frequently happens that the Parson is not sent for 'til the Physician has nothing farther to do, and as it will also be a Means to discover Hereticks.
