End Came Unexpectedly to Aged Inventor of Telephone This Morning.

Sydney, N. S., Aug. 2.—Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, died at 2 o'clock this morning at his Beinn Breagh estate near Baddeck. Although the inventor had been in failing health for several months, he had not been confined to bed and the end was unexpected. Yesterday his condition became serious. Mrs. Bell, his daughter, Mrs. Marion Fairchild, and her husband, David G., were at his bedside. He leaves another daughter, Mrs. Eliza Grosvenor, wife of a Washington magazine editor. He will be buried on the top of Mt. Beinn Breagh in a spot chosen by himself.
