Spearheading the Tigers' batting attack will be Samson and Taylor, sensational sluggers, who have been blasting the ball out of the parks down Florida way this season. Other dangerous Lakeland batters include Johnson, Hill, Pearson, Boyd, Taylor, Williams, Hendricks and Nelson.
BRAVES SET TO PUNISH LAKELAND PITCHERS
Turner, Hill, Gibson and Allen are ready for the starting assignment for the Tigers and the Braves are set to give them a plenty of punishment. With Marion Weathers, Sonny Glenn, Hunter and David Gray leading the way, the Braves will make a determined effort to chase the Florida pitchers in short order.
Skipper Wright worked the Braves overtime for this acid test, and expects to see his youngsters play their sharpest game of the year.
Rounding out the Braves line-up will be Doc Wingo, hard working second baseman J.C. Byrd, former hurler who is making a big hit with the fans in first, Captain Elmer Knox, quick outfielder, and Columbus Burford who will also patrol the outer garden.
