An American Seaman, direct from Pensacola, passed through this place yesterday, on his way to Philadelphia. He says he was impressed in 1800, by a British man of war, & never has been able to make his escape until six weeks ago. Christophe, not long since, killed two Englishmen, and the English were inflamed. What then ought to be the American feelings & conduct?

From the above person we learn that, the Floridans are actively engaged in building block houses and fortifying the town of Pensacola generally, for the purpose of resisting our forces.--Journal.
