Salem, Nov. 29.—On Sunday last, Capt. Martin in a sloop was going from Marblehead with a cargo of goods, and a considerable quantity of iron on deck. In a squall of wind which brought her down, the iron shifted to the leeward side, which overset and sunk her, whereby one lad was drowned; and another saved himself upon the bowsprit, which was still out of water, and the master and another saved themselves in a small boat. They were taken up in about three hours after, by another Marblehead vessel.
