An Interesting Relic.-- We were shown this week by Col. B. B. Edmonston, the inside case of a watch which is supposed to have lain in the woods for three quarters of a century, and which is believed to have belonged once to General Wm. H. Harrison, and to have been by him lost when laying out the old Governor's trace through this county. When Harrison was engaged in that work in this county he lost a valuable gold chronometer, and no traces of it could be found. Afterwards Mr. A. Harbison entered the land where the surveying party encamped, and twenty-five years ago or so, the double case of the watch was picked up by one of his boys near the camp ground. Last fall the piece of ground was cleared, and in plowing a grandsire turned up the inside case and portions of the works of the watch, supposed to belong to the one which was lost. It is pretty well rusted and all to pieces, but the case is sound, and bears inscribed upon it "No. 78. Leslie & Price, Philadelphia." It is a little singular it should have lain so long undiscovered. Some old line whig might pay a good price for this souvenir of their gallant, and only victorious candidate.
