Misses Bessie Bowen and Annie Foard visited Newark last week.
Miss Flora Ash of Elkton and Messrs Enmor Dougherty, of West Grove, and W. W. Sullivan. visited Miss Annie Foard this week.
Wm. Davis and family left here on Monday morning for their new home in Upland. Their regrets at leaving were many for Mr Davis has been a resident of West Nottingham for twenty-one years.
Col. J. D. Davis and Wm. T. Bowen visited Baltimore last week. Their trip was a pleasant one.
How do you intend spending your 4th? At home, or at the races in Elkton?
Keep your horses well bridled going through the streets for the fire crackers will frighten young and old horses.
Wheat harvest is here. They are cutting the golden grain. The country is lively with the noise of the reaping machines and mowers. These sounds are the only ones that break the dullness of the silent country for miles around.
Mrs. Samuel Frazier and Master Chas Campbell, of Washington, are visiting Miss Mary Campbell. Master Charles has his pony and cart and drives around our neighborhood.
