The REVENUE SYSTEM is now in train to be established upon an extensive and permanent plan. The IMPORT BILL has undergone very essential variations & alterations in the Senate, and the duties in general are much curtailed. It has not yet found its way back to the House. The proposed plan of collection, agreeably to the existing revenue laws of the several states, is entirely abandoned, and a very long original bill has had two readings, and is printed for the use of the members--The great departments having been voted, and a large committee is sitting upon the arrangement. There being several committees on important subjects now out, the sessions of the House for several days have been short and not very interesting:
