A Brilliant Meteor. The papers in various sections of Maryland and Pennsylvania, notice that on Monday night last, about 9 o'clock, one of the most splendid meteors, ever seen in this quarter of the world by the oldest inhabitants, was visible in the heavens for a few moments. Its course was from a southwest to a northeasterly direction, in the western quarter of the hemisphere. It was very large—resembling a massive ball of fire, with a long bright tail, and passed very gradually, reflecting a most brilliant light.
