Messrs. Editors,-

As it is the duty, as well as the privilege, of every individual to use all honorable and fair means to secure the election of our most competent and virtuous citizens to occupy stations of honor and trust, permit us, through the medium of your paper, to use ours, by expressing our high satisfaction at seeing, in the last Spy, the nomination of Henry Prentiss, Esq., of Hubbardston, as a candidate for the Senate board the ensuing year. Believing, as we do, that his election would secure to the County an able Senator, and that it would meet the approbation of the people generally, and especially in that part of the County in which he resides, much better than the election of either Mr. Walker or Mr. Bigelow, we request the co-operation of all, whose privilege it is to vote, in support of the following ticket, viz: Col. JOHN W. LINCOLN of Worcester, Hon. BENJAMIN ADAMS of Uxbridge, SAMUEL MIXTER, Esq., of New Braintree, DAVID WILDER, Esq., of Leominster, HENRY PRENTISS, Esq, of Hubbardston. Only adding, that we believe the age, ability, experience, and virtue of these gentlemen, will secure their election.
