There are a good many Missoula people who remember W. Nice Landers, son of Judge Landers of this city and brother of Mrs. Tyler Worden. He has recently been appointed assistant attorney general of Porto Rico and The Times of San Juan makes the following editorial comment, which will interest the local friends of the young man:

"The Times congratulates Mr. William N. Landers upon his appointment as assistant attorney general, and it no less sincerely felicitates the government of Porto Rico upon the appointment, which was the most logical one that could have been made. Mr. Landers has been identified with the work of the office for some time, and has shown that he is thoroughly capable of attending to the duties affiliated with it. During his residence in Porto Rico he has made many warm friends who admire him for his manly qualities and who respect him as a lawyer."
