NBA Parts Ways With New York Athletic Board

NEW YORK—Serious John Q Public fight fan. a unionist this time the mentality seeking quinshed by King Sammy Angott The National Boxing Association—and 't, New York State Athletic Commission have at last quarreled after almost two years of one sided cooperation

The New York Commission under Gen John E Phelan's regime promoter Mike Jacobs and in Chairman Greer come will be found all individual club owners except those that were controlled by the Mike Jacobs interest

As to who's right and who's wrong is a purely a matter of opinion On facts presented siding up with the National organization According to information gathered here the NBA recently thrashed out workable tournament whereby both large and small club throughout the country would hold elimination bouts to determine the rightful contender for the title

Now the New York Commission has decided that the winner of the December 18th Garden bout be recognized as champion and a tournament will be held among fifteen contenders to determine an opponent to meet the new champion

Of course we are anxious to see Beau Jack get a crack at the crown, which he will probably have in the bag by the time you read this but even a school boy can see that New York group has planned to hand pick another champion and that our reason for siding with the NBA and Abe Green
