Full Text
"Very Like a Whale."
When ye monsters of ye deep
Their maker's praises spot,
Up from ye sands ye esdlings peep
And wag their tails abou
"words of learned length and thundering sound
Amazed the gazing rustics ranged around.
And still they gazed, and still the wonder grew
That one small head could carry all he knew."
The man who was adopted, through the county house, into the Democratic party, who "always draws such a h-l of a crowd, he's so d--d eccentric," and who worships Douglas, the "Cynosh-r," with his whole stomach, held forth last Saturday night at Democratic head-quarters. He is a perfect Samson at slaving dictionaries and piggers. "Gum," we hope you will redeem your concluding promise, and "promulge" often.
@Cynosure. The lesser Bear, or the star in the tail of the lesser Bear, near the North Pole.—(See Worcester's, or any other Dictionary.
