Some time since, two persons who pretended themselves to be Turks, one about 60 years of age, the other 18, who past for the old man's son, were apprehended in this city, for having by forged papers, importing that they had been ruin'd by fire, collected large sums of money. They were examined at Guildhall, when they both prov'd to be Jews and impostors; and the old man, who had a beard above six inches long, was sentenced to be shaved, which operation, by help of half a dozen stout fellows to hold him, old Levi was obliged to undergo immediately in court. They were both afterwards whipt out of the City.
