Mr. Thorpe, on receiving the information, procured assistance, and called out each prisoner alone, had him brought quietly a distance from the others. and then seized and ironed.- We are informed that a razor with which it was intended to commit the murder, was procured by the conspirators, and subsequently found in the room concealed, by Mr. Thorpe.
It was also discovered that another convict. who is to be sentenced this day. intended to effect his escape from the carriage which conveys the prisoners from Bellevue, by throwing snuff into the eyes of the officers and the driver who was to accompany them to the city.
