FROM PENNSYLVANIA.
The Rebels Coming---Gov. Curtin Calls for 30,000 Militia.

Harrisburg, Aug. 5.

Dispatches received here this morning state the rebels were then crossing the river at Hancock, and had driven Averill's pickets into Cumberland.

Semi-official dispatches received this A. M., state the rebels have occupied Hagerstown in force. The greatest consternation prevails in the southern portion of Cumberland county.

Gov. Curtin has issued a proclamation calling out 30,000 militia.

Philadelphia, Aug. 5.

Report based on good authority, says the rebels crossed the Potomac at Hancock yesterday, several thousand strong.

It is reported there was a fight at Now Creek, Va., yesterday evening. Particulars not known.
