The means which the avaricious, faithless Dutch have devised, we hear, to evade their late proclamation, prohibiting their subjects from trading with our American colonies, as well as the private assurance given to Sir Joseph Yorke, our Minister at the Hague, previous to that proclamation are to ship arms, and every other species of military stores, to Surinam and St. Eustatia, their settlements in the West Indies, and either deliver them at sea in certain latitudes, or run them by stealth into our southern colonies on the American continent.
