From Northyarmouth Jan. 4:

"The inhabitants of Northyarmouth, deeply affected with the loss the United States have sustained by the death of the late illustrious General WASHINGTON, and emulous to show due respect to the memory of so great and good a man, suspended all business, and assembled on the third instant, formed a procession under a military escort, proceeded to the Baptist Meeting House, where the Rev. Mr. Gilman addressed the throne of grace, in a well adapted prayer; a suitable discourse was delivered by the Rev. Mr. Anderson; two anthems were sung; and a pertinent prayer by the Rev. Mr. Green, closed the exercises. The whole was performed with solemnity and decency becoming the occasion."
