HARTFORD, June 9.

The General Assembly, in their late Session, ordered two Battalions to be raised for the defence of this State—they also ordered that the Title of EXCELLENCY, instead of Hon. nor, be given the governor.

His EXCELLENCY the Governor, with the Honorable Council of Safety are now sitting in this Place.

Among other acts that passed the last Assembly were the following, viz.

An ACT to prevent traiterous Conspiracies against this and the United States of America.

An ACT allowing of Inoculation for the Small Pox, under proper Regulations.
