ENGINES LOCK HORNS.

Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 22.-A head-end collision occurred on the Kansas City, Council Bluffs and St. Joseph railway near Murray's station, three miles north of here, at 7:30 o'clock this morning, between a freight and north-bound passenger train.

The freight train and both engines were completely wrecked. Engineer Fager of the passenger train remained on his engine and was fatally injured. Express Messenger Ravenaugh was severely injured. The newsboy, T. B. Tanner, was badly hurt. The passengers were badly shaken up, but none were injured.
