Landis to Issue Additional Data On Ruling

CHICAGO, Jan. 16. (UP)—Baseball Commissioner K. M. Landis said his office today would issue another statement in reference to his ruling Sunday on the Detroit Tigers' farm system. The statement was expected to be an interpretation of rules governing working agreements between major and minor league clubs.

Minor league officials recently requested such an interpretation.

Landis' ruling on the Detroit farm system, which granted 91 players free agency, charged "misuse of working agreements in chain store baseball as a camouflage for covering up players."

Before Landis left Chicago today for a Florida vacation he called a meeting of the baseball rules committee for Feb. 12 at Belleair, Fla.
