Nearly one hundred persons attended the open house of the O. Henry Studio Tuesday afternoon between the hours of four and six and enjoyed the hospitality of Mrs. Robert Henry, proprietor of one of Durant's newest business enterprises.
The Studio rooms were most attractive with a profusion of cut flowers and punch was served throughout the afternoon by Misses Clara King and Martha Lou Ricks. Misses Roberta DeLoach and Ann Autry presided over the book in which the guests registered.
Mrs. J. D. Alsbury was the winner of the first prize, a tinted 5 X 7 portrait, and Mrs. A. B. Clements received second prize, six 3 X 5 pictures.
Mrs. Henry extends to the public and to those who were unable to visit the studio on its opening day, a cordial invitation to call by any time and pay her a visit.
