NORTH CAROLINA.

Meeting of the Legislature—Continued Illness of Gov. Holden—The Senatorship—Arrival of the State Agent—The Constitutional Amendment.

RALEIGH, NOV. 26, 1865.

The Legislature meets to-morrow. A large number of members have arrived. Gov. Holden is still confined to his bed from sickness. Dr. Powell, the State Agent at Washington, has arrived with dispatches to the Governor, but they are not yet made public. Messrs. Pool, Reade, Holden, Dick Settle, and others, are spoken of in connection with the Senatorship. It is thought that the Constitutional Amendment will be ratified by the Legislature. Prominent gentlemen who had been to Washington, are not very hopeful as to the future of the State and reconstruction.
