The Commission was created by the resolution introduced by Senator Hutchinson, Republican, of Mercer, and passed over the veto of Governor Fielder. The Governor disapproved it because it took two of the appointments out of his hands.
The other members of the Commission are Frederick R. Brace, a Republican lawyer and former member of Common Council, of Trenton; and John B. Woolston, of Essex county. Mr. Woolston is also a Republican. He was named by Speaker Pilgrim, and Mr. Brace was appointed by the then Senate President Read. The Commission will organize and take up its work in a short time. The Legislature appropriated $1,000 for the work.
