Haverhill, N. H. The house, barn and outbuildings belonging to Caleb Knights, at East Haverhill, were destroyed by fire on Wednesday of last week. The fire was discovered about 1 o'clock, p. m. Mrs. Knights was absent at the time, but Mr. Knights was about the premises. On account of the intense cold and difficulty of obtaining help, the whole were in ruins in a short time. Only a few articles of furniture were saved from the house, and the cattle and horses from the barn. The fire is supposed to have taken from the wood work around the stove pipe in a chamber. Loss, $3,000. Insured for $2,200.
