Lansing—AP—Great snowy owls whose normal habitat is northern Canada, apparently have been starved out of their usual haunts and have invaded Michigan, the state conservation department reported today. The department said the owls have a regular invasion pattern, appearing here approximately every four years. Their last migration to Michigan was in 1941-1942. Reports reaching the department showed the owls were very thin and experts said this indicated a lack of mice, lemmings and rabbits on which the birds feed.
