Drowned her child.

Deed of a La Crosse woman crazed with fever.

La Crosse, Wis., June 19.—Mrs. Ivar Larson, wife of a well known farmer residing a few miles east of here, killed her 5-weeks-old baby Saturday. She was delirious with fever and her husband was away from the house. She took the baby and another child 2 years old to a small but deep trench near by and, after throwing the boy in, sprang after with the baby in her arms.

Some boy engaged in fishing saw the act and called the woman's husband, who pulled his wife and the boy out but the baby was drowned.

Mrs. Larson was brought here yesterday morning and will be examined preliminary to being sent to Mendota for treatment.
