Rebuilding LaHarpe's Smelter.

The LaHarpe News says the smelter is being rebuilt rapidly. The smoke stack is about completed, the kilns are done, the machinery is being placed in them, a brick engine room is nearly ready for the masons. Not content with this the News says there is a rumor that the company will put in a brick plant and proves that it ought to be done by repeating the rumor.

Mr. Savings, the water well driller, has sunk four wells south of the plant and found good water close to the surface. The wells are 200 feet deep and sheet water was struck which rises 160 in the wells. And then this enterprising journal builds the rolling mill once more and locates them in the neighborhood of LaHarpe.
