HOAG DENIES CHANGE OF HIGHWAY ROUTE

Gael S. Hoag, field secretary of the Lincoln Highway Association, accompanied by a party of Utah friends of the highway, stopped over in Ely for two days and a night this week. In the party were E. S. Woodruff and F. D. B. Gay of the Deseret News, H. T. Young of the Salt Lake Ford agency, C. B. Hawley of the Intermountain Electric Company, A. H. Stevenson of the Fisk Tire Company and E. S. Hinckley, secretary of the Provo Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Hoag advised the White Pine News that the association had not abandoned the Ely-Salt Lake section of the highway, as frequently reported in north Nevada papers, and if necessary would build it at its own expense.

C. C. Boak and H. P. Campbell of Tonopah came over to meet the visitors here and accompanied them on a sightseeing tour of the district.
