AGED BANKER GOES TO PRISON FOR TEN YEARS
Daughter Yet to Face the Jury

Des Moines, Iowa, April 24.- J. W. Gregory, aged banker today faces a ten year term in the state penitentiary for accepting deposits while his bank was insolvent.

Gregory was near collapse when a district court jury found him guilty last night. His attorney has announced that he will seek a new trial for his client.

On charges of depositors that Gregory had accepted deposits from them a short time before the Cottage Grove Avenue Bank became insolvent, the banker and his daughter, Mrs. Frances Kissinger, were indicted two years ago.

The state has made no plans to try the daughter on the charge.

Sentence will be imposed on the banker May 5th.
