Renewed activity in El Centro building during the past week Saturday brought hopes of a record fall season in El Centro as permits issued during the week totaled $3381 and boosted the seasonal mark to $271,162 as compared to $244,932 for the same period one year ago.
Largest permit of the week was issued to Robert Hayes for $1100 worth of alterations on a dwelling at 343 Orange street. The house will be completely remodeled. two rooms will be added.
Rain during the past week, located leaks in many valley buildings, and as a result three permits were issued for reroofing purposes.
A. A. Kaiser reported progress on five homes he is building on West Heil and Hamilton streets. Three of the homes are being built for M. O. King, one for Massey Horton and one for D. Horton. The King houses will be put up for sale.
Builders Supply reported progress on the Art Sinclair home on West Wensley and the General Petroleum service station at Sixth and Broadway.
