Philadelphia, Feb. 13.-Sadie Black, six years old, of No. 1107 Parrish street, accompanied by two little girl friends, was coming home from school and the three started across the Reading railway crossing at Poplar street, between Eighth and Ninth streets, unconscious of the fast approaching outbound Frankford local.
The cries of the flagman caused the imperilled children to turn around. The train was not 50 feet away.
The sight of the big engine thundering toward her held little Sadie spellbound. While she stood her companions rushed across the tracks to safety. Before the train could be stopped little Sadie was mangled.
