Vermont Election.—The election for Governor, Lieutenant Governor and members of both branches of the State Legislature, takes place next Tuesday. The Locos are making desperate efforts to carry the State. Mr Van Buren has been all along the line of the State on Lake Champlain electioneering, and encouraging his party. The candidates for Governor are Silas H. Jennison, the present Governor, Whig, and Nathan Smilie, Loco Foco.

Mr. Jennison was elected last year by about 5,500 majority—and both houses of the Legislature were Whig.
