The Hudson-Tunnel Victims.

New York, August 16.—Twenty-five days have passed since the accident in the Hudson-River tunnel at Jersey City, by which twenty laborers were buried alive, and the managers now say flatly, at the very least, thirty days more will have passed before the bodies of the men can be recovered. The families are content to let the managers of the company do as they think best, as it is their opinion that the company will do all that is possible to recover the bodies at the earliest moment. The widows, it appears, are paid the money each week that their husbands would have earned, and it is stated that the company will continue to do so until the tunnel is finished. The widows of those who died in the employ of the company receive their husbands' money every Saturday as if nothing had happened.
