Fire.-About 2 o'clock on Sunday morning a fire was discovered in a stable in the rear of No. 31 Cross street, which destroyed a block of frame buildings between Augustus and Cross, and Duane and Pearl streets, in all about 20 back, and 7 or 8 front buildings. The property was of little or no value, and was occupied by a great number of poor families. Two horses were burnt to death. The fire originated, it is said, during a riot, created by several young men, loungers from the Five Points, who were bent upon a robbing expedition. Some of them were taken prisoners and carried to the watch house. N. Y. Courier.
