The Rev. Glenn T. Settles, the organizer and narrator of the celebrated Wings Over Jordan religious chorus, will appear in Atlanta in person this evening, when the cast will be presented in musical concert at the Greater Wheat Street Baptist church, Rev. William Holmes Borders, pastor.
The Wings Over Jordan have only recently completed a USO tour in which they have played to over two million servicemen in France, Germany, Italy and Belgium. It is the only group in the long history of the American Army that can boast of the honor of having had an entire division of the American Army to assemble for the purpose of receiving a dedication of a spiritual, entitled "We'll Understand It Better By and By" that was when the entire 92nd Division of the Fifth Army paused to receive this group.
On this occasion, planes, tanks, cannons, Mine Sweepers and the famed 92nd paraded before the reviewing stand prior to the ceremonies.
The group tonight will open their program at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Margaret Alexander is the sponsor, associated with her is W. J. Jones, the Manager. The public is invited to hear this rare musical concert.
