THE SWEETEST SONG

I hear a wondrous song within the air,
And its true beauty I would gladly share,
Rolling so sweetly in rich melody,
I feel the depths of its sweet harmony,
Touching with fullest joy the anxious soul,
As on its luring notes so peaceful roll!

What sweeter charming song could ever be
Moving more sweetly through eternity!

A Voice Divine speaking in truest love,
So tender words from Father's Home above,
Far richer than the choicest songs of earth,
And its sacred sweetness of far more worth!

The fullness of its pure and mellow flow
By carnal lure no yearning soul can know,
Its valued lessons for the shores of time,
Its grandest tones welling in Heights Sublime!
