Charles Smith Says Peery's Articles Were Complete and Accurate

Editor: As chairman of the Veterans' Volunteer Committee I have been keenly interested in the articles in your papers concerning the fight for integration of Negroes in the Minnesota National Guard.

The article by Ben Peery on the victory secured by the committee, the reply by Commander Alvin Hannon, Jr., of Brooks-Attucks Post, also Mr. Peery's reply were of great interest.

As chairman of this committee attending all the meetings, I am of the opinion that both articles written by Mr. Peery conveyed complete and accurate information.
