A FINE JURYMAN THIS.

Determined to Hang an American in Revenge for Maxwell.

St. Louis, March 1.--The Vail jury, which disagreed yesterday, stood eleven for acquittal and one for conviction. The lone man was Juror Forshaw, who says the other jurors abused him in an outrageous manner. It is asserted here that Forshaw, who is an Englishman, has frequently said that Maxwell, who was hanged for the murder of Preller, was convicted on slight circumstantial evidence, and if he (Forshaw) was ever placed on a jury when an American was being tried on similar evidence he would hang him if there was any chance. This story is not corroborated, however.
