"Producer's Showcase took an old tale, added the Sadler's Wells Ballet's perfectional grace, mixed in magnificent costumes, stirred with dramatic staging, sprinkled liberally with fantasy and a pinch of memories, sifted in a talented cast, garnished with mood-fitting music, and served to America an elegant version of Sleeping Beauty."

Phyllis won an RCA Victor All-Transistor portable radio as her prize. Mrs. Madalyn Angel, the paper's sponsor, won a duplicate prize.
