JACKSON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT.

The Jackson county Circuit Court convened on Monday last, with Judge M. J. Crawford, presiding. The docket contains in all nearly 600 cases, two of which are for murder. The case of Wm. B. Whitehead, charged with the murder of Buck Dupas, at Anna in Union county, is one of them. The trial will commence next Wednesday, and consume the remainder of the week. Col. Townes, State's attorney, will be assisted in the prosecution by Messrs. Mayham & Layman, of Murphysboro.
