MAKING ALL-TIME RECORD
College Station, Raleigh, Dec 27
North Carolina hens are making
an all time record in egg production
this year with almost as many eggs
produced in eleven months as for
the entire year of 1913, says C. F.
Parrish, in charge of Extension
poultry work at State College.
"The estimated production of eggs
for North Carolina this year is 1,-
020,000,000, or approximately 300
eggs for every person in the state.
This is enough to provide the aver-
age citizen with about 85 per cent
of his requirements, assuming this
to be about 350 eggs a year, which
is slightly above the national aver-
age"
