SELL DELINQUENT
REAL PROPERTY
The city council, which meets last night at 8 o'clock in the council chambers, ordered the publication as required by law, of the order of the U. S. District court, issued on May 23, authorizing the sale by the city of all delinquent real property of 1927.
Among other business brought before the city council, was a petition, signed by seven residents of houses adjoining Carroll Way, asking the city to install a sewer connecting their property with the Front Street sewage system. No action was taken on the petition at last night's meeting.
The contract for kalsomining the city hall was awarded to J. T. Ross.
There were two other bidders.
C. W. Carter, who appeared before the council on behalf of the Indians of Indian Village, to request a new sidewalk extending from Willoughby avenue to the native Presbyterian church, was authorized to tell the Indians that the City of Juneau would furnish the lumber for the sidewalk if the Indians would contribute the labor.
Other matters taken up by the council were purely routine.
