C. H. Powell Thinks Cairo Has Good Chance to Secure Grain Dealers' Association.
W. H. Powell, one of the Cairo members of the Illinois Grain Dealers' Association, returned yesterday from Peoria where he attended the annual convention. J. B. Gillespie, who also attended, is expected home today. The meeting was attended by 500 delegates from all parts of the state. Cairo is asking for the 1913 meeting with good prospects of securing it. The selection of the meeting place is left to the executive committee who will meet this fall and name the city. Chicago has asked for the honor. The Cairo grain dealers have reason to believe that this city will be named, as the committee is favorable.
